BrowseNode.Name
Building an "out of the box" affiliate store with Amazon Store Manager is quite easy. Only requiring a very basic knowledge of working with PHP scripts. When ASM2 is added to an existing website with established traffic the results can be quite rewarding!
However best results are often obtained by creating a "niche" store. Which requires a bit more time and effort because of the need to select products that complement the website's content. To properly create a niche store requires finding, editing and adding browse nodes to ASM2. Browse nodes are an identifier number that Amazon.com uses to categorize it's products.
Browse nodes can be harvested directly at Amazon.com. As well as from several websites featuring the Amazon.com BrowseNodeLookup operation. For those of us building more than a few AMS2 niche stores this process soon becomes work!
Easy Browse Nodes For Amazon Store Manager (ASM2)
BrowseNode.Name was designed to aid in this process. Simply select the desired product category with the menu. Available browse node children will appear "ready to use" in the textarea. The textarea also allows for editing if desired. Then copy and paste into the correct ASM2 file.
It's always a good idea to double check each browse node to see that it is valid and delivers product. As browse nodes are subject to change or deletion by Amazon.com!
